The Nonsuch is the inspiration of Gordon Fisher, who with yacht designer Mark Ellis approached George Hinterhoeller to build a comfortable cruising boat. This idea has produced over 950 boats from 22' to 36' that are enjoyed today by sailors of all types. Nonsuch was designed on the premise of simplicity.
Her unstayed mast is stepped in the bow. With her inboard diesel and only one sail, the Nonsuch 22 is simply the easiest and most fun boat to sail in its size range. This is truly a single-hander…yet the cockpit will easily fit four standard-sized human beings. The interior is complete with a very large double bed, a galley, and a fully enclosed head. She even has a full cockpit enclosure for added comfort and protection from the elements.
