Wanderlust I was designed and built by Al Murray who was a very well know and competent designer. She was completed in 1991 and has had only one set of owners. The interior is of beautiful cherry and ash. The talents of the interior finisher can be seen throughout the boat and could rival any production-built cruiser.
The hull and deck were also properly insulated with an air space between the inside of the hull and the insulation. Regretfully most steel boats rust from the inside out but you will find no rust in Wanderlust’s bilges! The care of the builder is evident when you look at her beautiful and very fair hull, her lovely deck and cabin structure. She has a modified fin keel, has a removable staysail stay, which means she can be sailed as a cutter and is an extremely capable ocean cruiser. She has a gentle motion and is no slouch under sail.
She is a delight to the eye, comfortable below and an excellent sailer. She would please any serious sailor who understands the difference. |
