Monterey has found a way to pack a lot of features into their sport cruisers, and the 282 has everything a family needs to enjoy their time away. Built on a deep-V hull with a wide 10' beam, she is a comfortable boat below and her floorplan is quite different from most midsize cruisers, both innovative and well-designed.
The head is quite large and comes with a hinged seat over the commode which makes changing clothes or taking a shower very comfortable. An athwartships double berth is forward with twin settees in the berth and she has a mid-cabin seating arrangement that converts to a queen. The dinette can also be converted into a berth for a couple of kids.
Topsides, the cockpit is arranged with an aft-facing seat behind the bolstered double helm, a large wet bar with a cockpit fridge and storage to port, and a removable rear seat. A transom door opens to an extended swim platform, where dock lines and fenders can be stored in a transom box.
She is fully equipped including AC / Heat, 5.0 KW gen, Anchor windlass, foredeck sunpad, Kenwood stereo with CD changer, TV VCR, Vacuflush head, VHF, and a Raymarine GPS chartplotter. She also boasts a full galley with microwave, dual-burner stove and a coffee maker. Included is a complete inventory of safety and mooring equipment.
The owners will consider a late-model, smaller vessel as a trade. She is in very good condition and is definitely worth a long, hard look. |
